Description
Veejay Records VJLP 1062 Introducing The Beatles. Beatles fans know how rare this LP is to find in good condition let alone a sealed LP. This FIRST PRESS circa 1964 Veejay Records FACTORY SEALED version one LP includes the songs LOVE ME DO and P.S. I LOVE YOU. In 1964 Capitol Records filed a law suit against Veejay records over the rights to two songs, the court agreed with Capitol and Veejay removed both songs and replaced them with the songs Ask Me Why and Please, Please Me on all future pressings.
It is estimated that less than 85,000 of this FIRST ISSUE LP were pressed by VJ compared to 1.5 million of the second common version LP. How many still remain sealed out of the first 1964 release? When The Beatles sang on the Ed Sullivan show fans raced out to record shops purchasing anything Beatles and most of these first press VJ LPs were scooped off the shelves opened then played over and over. This factory sealed LP is in excellent condition no seam splits, no shrink tears, factory breathe holes present front and back, 1/4" inner flaps (see photos) there is NO INK LOSS on the tops of the letters on the song A TASTE OF HONEY as seen on all counterfeits. The factory shrink is tight showing some bends from the tight shrink done at the factory. WE PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THIS LP TO BE AS DESCRIBED...a circa 1964 version one Veejay LP sealed at the VJ factory.
