Description
The Beatles ultra rare debut single, signed by John Lennon and Paul McCartney (Authenticated). U.K. 1st press Love Me Do/P.S. I Love You 45-R 49 49 1N/1N ZT tax code, red Parlophone label, 4 prong center.
Signed on the B-side label by John Lennon (on 4-prong center) and by Paul McCartney (outer label), both in bold and clear black biro, nicely orientated, side by side. Ultra rare placement, layout and signature combination of The Beatles major songwriting team.
The B-side label is in VG/VG+ condition and remains bright and clear. Between ‘John’ and ‘Lennon’, there are pen marks which could be where Lennon has tested the biro prior to signing or a small caricature/doodle. The A-side label is in VG condition with evidence of residue where a sticker was once affixed. The record itself is in VG condition with light marks to both sides. Housed in the original Parlophone sleeve in good condition with no seam splits.
This presents one of only 3 to 4 known authenticated examples of The Beatles signatures on the record label.
Comes with world renown auction house invoice and description stating that the signatures have been authenticated by Roger Epperson.
