By the time this copy hit the shops in mid-1969, mono was a dead format and the fab-four of the 1965 film seemed another world away
This NEAR MINT late UK mono pressing was produced in a single batch on the final black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both labels OMIT the 'Sold in UK....' text but retain 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' rims
1st pressing matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper codes: 9/MDT & 1,8/ATA
Vinyl weight: 141g
Housed in a thin card, front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover & red/white EMI advertising inner-sleeve

A superb set of these rare labels bearing only a handful of light spindle trail around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Immaculate factory-fresh playing surfaces which are unmarked & 'as new' in strong daylight with just a few harmless, barely visible wispy paper hairlines & a sparkling rainbow shine directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp.
Sound Quality: MINT
This flawless sounding copy has received just extremely careful attention from top-quality equipment. My single careful play-check at volume found absolutely no evidence of any groove/playwear distortion, background interference or even a single click, pop or any other audible distraction. No need to upgrade this for sound.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A clean, glossy and unyellowed example of this easily blemished cover which bears little more than some light storagewear and no major faults. The striking front panel is clean & white with just a hint of storage rubbing and a single thumbnail wrinkle. All corners are free for many heavy bumps or bruising and both opening edges are undamaged. The exposed rear panel is unmarked and all flipbacks are in-place and unworn.
Both seam are smooth & unstressed and the spine is fully laminated & worded.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with some light handling wrinkles but no writing, seam splits or tears.
