Description
This is the Super Deluxe edition of the 2112 40th Anniversary set released in 2016, which means it's the version that includes the album and bonus material on both vinyl and CD formats, plus a DVD, and all the other miscellaneous memorabilia items in the box.
Contents are the full 2112 album on both CD and vinyl, a bonus CD and vinyl record with a 1976 radio ad for 2112, a live version of The Twilight Zone from an audience recording on April 17, 1977 in Washington DC, and covers of songs by Alice in Chains, Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Jacob Moon, and Steven Wilson. Also are two tracks each recorded during one of the three nights at Massey Hall in June 1976 (Something For Nothing and 2112) those each being different from the versions that ended up on All The Worlds A Stage.
The DVD features the full live concert footage from the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey on December 10, 1976, as well as interviews from Geddy and Alex. Also included are special memorabilia items like a special 2112 turntable mat, original Hugh Syme starman sketch, three pins of each of the band, three large promo photos of each of the band, Massey hall ticket and program / handbill reproductions.
I say condition is "used" because it has been opened from shrink wrap, but never played. CDs used once to rip files to computer. Contents were looked at once or twice, and have been in storage for years since.
In 2016 some versions also were sold with a limited edition 45 single of The Twilight Zone, with Lessons on the B-side. These are pretty rare, and seem to also be going for a fair bit on Discogs. This one is still sealed.
