THIS IS A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL 1968 RELEASE OF THE VAN MORRISON LP “ASTRAL WEEKS” ISSUED IN THE UK ON THE ORANGE WARNER BROS LABEL AND IS SERIOUSLY RARE IN THIS CONDITION! I BELIEVE THIS IS A FIRST PRESSING (PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF NOT) AS I BOUGHT IT WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT. THE VINYL IS IN MINT CONDITION! THE SLEEVE IS IN VIRTUALLY MINT CONDITION! DONT MISS THIS VERY RARE OPPORTUNITY!
The Catalogue Number is WS 1768 on the UK ORANGE Warner Bros label and is in Stereo. Matrix numbers are WS 1768A-2 *T and WS 1768B-2 *T
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see picture) with NO wear and NO writing. There are some VERY LIGHT spindle marks. I BOUGHT THIS RECORD SHORTLY AFTER IT CAME OUT AND IT HAS ONLY BEEN PLAYED ON TOP QUALITY HI-FI EQUIPMENT. The vinyl is in SUPERB condition with NO scratches, NO scuff marks and NO signs of wear. THE RECORD STILL RETAINS EVERY BIT OF ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK! The record sounds as STUNNING as the visual! It plays with CRYSTAL CLEAR UNDISTORTED SOUND, NO sticking, NO groovewear, NO jumps, and NO crackle! The record plays SUPERBLY with ZERO DISTORTION! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way! Brilliant!!
The laminated cover is in NEAR MINT condition! It has NO wear to spine. There is ONLY THE VERY SLIGHTEST HINT of wear to the EXTREME top left and bottom right corners of the front cover. There is an almost invisible 1cm vertical thumb crease just left of centre of Van’s mouth. There is minor rubbing to the front cover including minor ringwear to the top and bottom. There is NO edgewear. The front cover very largely retains its initial glossy look (see picture).
The only blemish to the back cover is THE VERY SLIGHTEST HINT of wear to the EXTREME right corner.
Overall the cover is firm and strong and is outstandingly well preserved for its age!
THIS IS A MASSIVELY RARE LP TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION! DONT MISS OUT!
