Description

This is the original pressing of Donald Byrd "Byrd Blows on Beacon Hill" on Transition 17. The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once; both labels are present, though unattached (typical of Transition pressings where the labels did not adhere to the vinylite compound). The laminated cover shows ½" wear on the bottom seam, at the opening; the top seam split has been very neatly repaired. Mint 12-page booklet included. Personnel includes Ray Santisi, Doug Watkins, and Jimmy Zitano.


On Mar-07-10 at 11:58:21 PST, seller added the following information:

Five tics after the opening of Side 1. Otherwise, the sound quality is superb, without any hiss or background noise common to Transition or vinylite pressings.
