Description

This is the original pressing of Donald Byrd "Byrd Jazz" on Transition J-5. A few light tics at the beginning of Side 1, otherwise the playing surface is in virtually new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once; both labels are present, though unattached (typical of all Transition pressings, where the labels did not adhere to the vinylite compound). The laminated cover is also in near-new condition, with just ¼" wear to the bottom right corner. Mint seven-page booklet included. Personnel includes Yusef Lateef, Bernard McKinney, Barry Harris, and Frank Gant.
