Description

The Beatles - Please Please Me.  Scarce and sought after original first issue Mono 1963 Parlophone Records (serial number PMC1202 with matrix number XEX 421-1N).  This LP is an exceptionally rare 'contract pressing' which was pressed by Decca Records due to the high demand for the record at the time of release as shown by the distinctive 'groove' in record label. 

Vinyl is a very presentable and glossy VG+ with some  signs of play, light marks and sleeve scuffs (under a strong light) but no serious scratches.. Under daylight the vinyl grades a very impressive EX ! - please note that i grade very critically - Beatles originals are particularly well scrutinised as i believe that there are no real 'mint' copies! To me once a record has been out of  the sleeve it can no longer be described as mint!  This record plays very well with no skips/jumps and has only light crackle between tracks. Centre label is in excellent condition with no writing but has a few light scuffs and light spindle wear, Decca groove is very prominent and unmarked. Record sleeve is printed by Ernest J. Day and is in EX condition and still maintains a high gloss to front cover. Edges of sleeve have a few scuffs but all sides are intact without splits. Back of sleeve is still very bright but edges of 'flip-back' have some rubbing. Comes with original 'tracing paper' Emitex inner sleeve.

 Overall a great copy of a hard to find UK original by the Fab Four - offered with no reserve so bid now! My apologies to anyone who bid earlier but i had to relist this item as a Decca pressing. LP will be well packed to ensure safe delivery and i will require confirmation of delivery on this one.
