Description
This is the original UK LP by The BEATLES, PLEASE PLEASE ME, Mono on the PARLOPHONE label PMC 1202, with "PARLOPHONE CO.LTD" rim credits on the label and "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963" label credits.
This is the RARE DECCA CONTRACT PRESSING
Due to the over whelming demand for the album in Summer 1963 EMI asked DECCA to Press a limited amounts of the album. This ONLY lasted for a few weeks, subsequently in comparison to EMI's Pressing quota, DECCA only pressed very few!
Apart from the obvious ridged label ( a Decca signature / trait), their are some interesting and significant differences to any other Beatles, Please Please Me PARLOPHONE 1963 Pressing
1 :- Their is no Tax Code emboseed on either side of the label
2:- Their is no Tax code stamped in the dead wax run-off area at 12oclock position
3:- The Mother plate number single or doubled figured is at the 9oclock position, their is no tax code above it
4:- With these Contract Pressings, DECCA didnot use the BUCKINGHAM stamper codes, so their is no such letters or anything at the 3oclock position
Matrix number are, Side 1:- XEX 421-1N, Side 2:- XEX 422-1N
Mother plate numbers are, Side 1:- 10, Side 2:- 14
The original 1963 UK Garrod and Lofthouse cover flipback is in VG+ condition. The cover maintains all it's original bright fresh colour, the glossy thickly laminated front is lovely and clean, with some lamination creasing. The solid spine is fully intact, clean and perfectly readable. Their is no unwanted writing, no seam splits.
The vinyl is in a EX condition, gleaming with all it's original 'Just Pressed glossy shine and lustre!, I have played both sides (very very carefully!) and the vinyl plays MINT-!!!!, only a hint of very very faint crackle inbetween tracks, thats it.
The vinyl plays with stunning crisp clear clarity *, amazing Mono sound!!!! *. The quality of this 1963 UK Mono DECCA Pressing is TOP TOP QUALITY!, playing with stunning rich tones, warmth and depth!! A SHEER DELIGHT TO LISTEN TO!!!!
If you want a RARE Beatles album and want to hear the album as it was intended to hear from new back in 1963, then this is the album for you!. I can stress enough how brilliant this album sounds, RAZOR SHARP, ULTRA CLEAR, CLEAN CRISP MONO!!!, EVERY TRACK IS A DELIGHT TO LISTEN TOO, STUNNING!!!!
The DECCA label's are in EX+++ condition, lovely and clean and fresh, maintaining all their original bright fresh colour, their is no unwanted writing, the centre spindle hole shows minimal wear
The vinyl is housed in its original 1963 UK "Use Emitex" Die-cut inner sleeve and is in EX condition!, clean, their is no unwanted writing, no seam splits.
