Description
1967 Greece Goes Modern Mimis Plessas The Orbiters Rare Original 1st Pressing Made in Greece
A "holy grail" LP released in 1967 that rarely comes up for sale. The vinyl and sleeve are VG. The LP was recorded in 1966 and released in 1967 for the needs of an advertising broadcast for “Fix” beer and was never released for retail sale.
The LP was test played a few times. The pressing is very good with great sound. The vinyl has some surface marks and a few surface scratches and there are some pops and surface noise at some spots The most noticeable is at the start of Side A track 2 where there are about 5 pops in a row. On side B there is a good sized surface mark at the end of track 4 and start of 5, but when listened to it plays through nicely with a bit of surface noise at the end of 4 and start of 5.
The LP was played on a Technics SL-1600 using a Shure M95ED cartridge with an elliptical stylus.
The outer sleeve has ring and rub wear marks on it, most noticeably on the black. Some edge and corner wear. Not sure if the inner sleeve is original. Includes an outer protective cover and anti-static inner sleeve.
The record labels are in very good condition. Note that the front of the sleeve and each label has a name stamp on it, as pictured.
