I suddenly found myself with an embarrassment of riches with 2 copies of the infamous "butcher cover" of the Beatles' album "Yesterday & Today," so I have put the stereo version up for sale. It's important to remember that peeled covers are more often than not not going to be pristine, but this is a pretty good peel, especially considering it's from LA RIAA number 5, which are the most difficult. The photos you see show the album's condition - the sleeve has a 1/2 inch repaired seam split in the bottom right front corner. Some is some replacement cover residue. The "Capitol" record label in the upper left hand corner shows wear and there is some residue to the right of Ringo, all of which is shown in the photos. The back cover of the album shows some staining. The inner sleeve is in good condition, but there is some small separation at the bottom. The record itself has some scuffs but is in good condition otherwise.
Added to the album is a bonus - an original Capitol 45 of Nowhere Man/What Goes On. I used to have a complete collection of the Beatles' 45 picture sleeves (yes, even Can't Buy Me Love), but I sold them a long time ago. For whatever reason, the 45 of Nowhere Man is still with me, so I am including that as well. As you can see from the photos, it's in good condition.
If you search eBay for original butcher covers and not reproductions, you'll see that many of them are selling in the thousands of dollars. Although my album is not in pristine condition, it looks good and I'm offering it for a very low opening bid with no reserve (and a very good Buy It Now price, if you'd prefer).
