THE BEATLES - 'NOWHERE MAN'
This earliest copy of their final & rarest 4-track EP dates from initial July 1966 release on the Parlophone label: GEP 8952
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrices: 7TCE 904-1 & 7TCE 905-1
Earliest possible stamper codes: 1/G & 1/G
Housed in its front laminated rounded bi-flipback picutre cover.
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT
Both are clean & undamaged with a moderate collection of light single spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both playing surfaces are clean & glossy with just one or two very faint scuff visible in strong daylight. Close examination directly beneath halogen light reveals only a few harmless wispy paper hairlines. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Audio: EXCELLENT +
Superb, clean & unworn sound from all of these outstanding tracks. Played on quality equipment only, there is no trace of any groovewear distortion anywhere. Our play-check detected a touch of light vinyl background on 'Michelle' and between tracks, but no other noticeable audible distractions. Tough to find better example and impossible to find an earlier.
Cover: EXCELLENT -
The thin card has worn well and the front panel retains a clean, unscratched high-gloss laminated with just a small bend towards the upper right corner. There is some wear to the upper corners themselves but the lower two and both opening edges are nice and sharp. Apart from a handful of small age spots, the rear panel is clean & unmarked. there is some wear to the laminate on the upper flipback but all seams are smooth & unstressed.
