ZOOT SIMS:  RIVERSIDE Records HI-FI RLP 12-228 (Mfd in NYC in '57) ZOOT! - TRAX Are:  WHY CRY?, ECHOES OF YOU, SWIM JIM, HERE AND NOW, FOOLS RUSH IN, OSMOSIS, and TAKING A CHANCE ON LOVE.   Featuring:  JACK 'ZOOT' SIMS, GEORGE HANDY, WILBUR WARE, and OSIE JOHNSON.  Recorded in December 1956 and released in early 1957.  The Front cover is overall in VG+ condition, with light shelfwear, no ringwear, no splits, no bends, no holes, no writing.  The only blemish is some wear along the bottom edge.  The back cover has light shelfwear and a sticker stain.  The back looks is still basically white and not yellow--it just has some shelfwear. The Deadwax Zone has neatly etched on it:  RLP 12-228-A and B (on the B side).  The label is clean and like new on both sides. The vinyl record has the original gloss;  it has some extrememly light "paper scuffs".  The LP edges are Flat, without the Safety Lip.  It looks VG++.   FOOLS RUSH IN has a "needle drop" mark on it, and it plays noisy (you can hear some of it in the Audio Clip).  The other songs all play VG+ and Better (almost VG++ on spots).  It's far from perfect, but it's still a very rare, 53 year old record in decent shape.  I've posted some audio clips from both sides of this record at:     www.gate.net/~rhanes/zootsimslpriv.ra    -   If you click onto this hyperlink, you can download them as REAL AUDIO FILES and listen for yourself.  I can ship this anywhere in the USA Media Rate for $4.00, or Air Priority for $9.00.  The POST OFFICE LOSES PACKAGES, don't blame me if it happens to you. If bidding on this reaches $50, and it ships to a non-US buyer, Registered Mail will be required, but I'll pay $4 of the $11.50 Registered Mail fee. If it sells for over $120. to a non-US Bidder, it will have to ship Air Priority, which will run around $28.  If it sells to a non-US Bidder for over $500, it will have to ship GLOBAL EXPRESS MAIL INTERNATIONAL for $36.00.  Since I will have to insure it myself, I will have to declare full sales value.  If paying other than Paypal, I can ship it any way you want.  Postage rates to Japan are considerably MUCH LESS.  Paypal rules make it very difficult and expensive to ship anything out of the country now, since they require on-line Tracking Numbers. You can't get that with simple First Class International shipping. No reserve. Good luck!
