Description
The first of the Wilson Audio Golden Age Treasures reissues of classic recordings.
As described in the liner notes, the recordings were transferred from the EMI masters at Abbey Road Studios by Wilson Audio personnel. Back in the US, the transfer to lacquer was performed at Wilson's own mastering room in Utah by Bruce Leek, unquestionably one of the world's leading mastering engineers.
The signal path from Studer mastering transport goes through the Ultramaster designed by John Curl. The program signal goes directly to precision level controls and RIAA inverters. The Neumann SX-74 cutter head is driven by modern vacuum tube amplifiers in triode mode.
LPs look pristine. Tried to capture in photos. Have a look. Jacket is very nice. Some signs of use. A small ½" circle on back, top where it appears there was a sticker of some sort.
