Offered here is an important piece of Punk Rock History.

This is the test press for the first edition of Black Flag's landmark 3rd LP from 1984 "FAMILY MAN"

Only a handful of these were made for band members and those involved in the album's release. There are only a couple of copies in existence that would be available for sale and this is one of those few.

To our knowledge a test of the album has never been on the market and we all know the original first few album's tests sell for very high numbers.

As you can see from the photo the matrices match the original stampers of the first pressing. The blank labels attribute to how early this test is. Any later tests would have generic RAINBO RECORDS logos and scribe. This is for the first pressing from '84.

The disc is in Excellent to NM condition, looks as if it may have been played a couple of times. Essentially flawless.

These copies were acquired from a member of the original LA punk scene and a resident of Redondo Beach.

This historic artifact is an amazing addition to any Punk or Metal vinyl collection. Do not sleep on this, this disc will not last.
