Description
V-DISC 78 Record Test Set
War Department Issued 1942
This set was issued as a promotional item to gauge the interest for providing music to the troops overseas during World War II. Amazingly Frank Sinatra is featured singing "Blue Skies" with the Tommy Dorsey band on the first album in this 6 record set! The set represents a sequentially numbered record set of records 1-6. Overall the set is in VG to VG- condition, but given the rarity of this test set, any condition is frankly desireable. There are two #4 records included, one whose edge was slightly broken in the original set, and another #4 that was obtained as a whole replacement. The replacement is rougher than most of the other records in the set.
