Description

From 1946 comes this rare "FACTORY REJECT" Vogue Picture Record with two songs by Shep Fields and His Orchestra.  The Vogue record number is R712.   The first side is P19, "Atlanta G.A." (Skylar and Shaftel) with a vocal by Jack Prince.   The second side is P20, "Aren't You Glad You're You" (Johnny Burke - Jimmy Van Heusen) with a vocal by Meredith Blake.  "Vogue, The Picture Record, A Tom Saffady Product" is copyright by "Sav-Way Industries, Detroit 13, Michigan."

This particular record might be considered to be in good condition, but it does have numerous light scratches, numerous rubbing marks and some soiling.  There appears to be no nick or damage to the outer edges of the record.  There is a very small amount of aluminum showing near the spindle hole.  This could be the reason it is labeled  "FACTORY REJECT" in clear raised letters near the center of the record.  The pictures and master numbers on the record match up with the hand printed etched master numbers near the center.  So the recorded songs seem to match up with the picture labels.  No record playing equipment is available to play or test the record prior to its sale.

For Vogue Picture Record collectors, this would be a nice addition to a Vogue record collection even though it was considered originally to be a "FACTORY REJECT."
