Record plays through with audible crackle and pops nearly throughout.  In some songs, it isn't very noticable without turning the volume up pretty loud, but in others, particularly at the beginning of each side, it is quite noticable.  There is a name and address sticker, visible in picture. 

See pictures.  Each corner has a split, the largest at the bottom on the open side is about two inches, the smallest at the top closed side is about one quarter inch.  There is also a two inch split centered in the bottom.  The front has a few faded spots and two tiny holes that are probably from a staple.  The back is yellowed some and has some ring wear at the bottom, visible in picture.  Also visible in the picture is a name and address sticker at the top left and 3.98 written in pencil at the top right corner.

SHIPPING NOTES: If you are not in the USA, Canada, Japan,Germany or the United Kingdom don't bid without asking first.  International shipping on items under four lbs. and with a final value under $35.00 will be First Class International, unless the buyer wishes to go with a more expensive option.  Anything that goes above $35.00 will be sent Priority Mail, which usually costs a little over twice as much as First Class.  I will ship your record within three business days of payment.  If it takes more than a couple of weeks to arrive, the holdup is likely your country's customs department as happened once when I shipped a record to Germany.  If you aren't the patient type, contact me before paying to arrange for a more expensive shipping option.

Your record will ship in a new record mailer and a new paper inner sleeve and a new plastic outer sleeve.  If I have the original inner sleeve and it isn't just plain, I will include it. 

I don't use the standard grading system, not to make it hard, but to make it easy.  My method is simple.  I look at it and tell you what I see, and I listen to it and tell you what I hear.  I usually listen at three out of ten on the volume knob, but always turn it up to about five of ten on at least a couple of songs per record to really highlight any flaws.

A quick search will turn up many records offered as near mint that obviously aren't near mint after just a casual glance at the supplied picture.  I have purchased records sold as near mint that sound way worse than the record I am offering.  I wil not do this to you.  Look at the picture (always the actual item) and read my text, and you will know what to expect.

Be sure to click the see other items button for more records as I will be liquidating a 5,000 record collection over the next few years.  This collector started in the 1930s and continued until cds supplanted records as the medium of choice.  The collection is mostly jazz and classical.  There are name and address stickers on most of the records and covers that I don't dare try to remove as many have been there for fifty years!  Besides putting on stickers, the original collector often left handwritten notes to himself on the back covers, usually dates.  Having seen his massive cassette and reel to reel collection, and going by the dates, I suspect that the dates are when he made tapes of the albums.  I also suspect that the taping is the reason that these records are in such nice condition.  This collector was a non smoker, but he got at least some of his records used, I've seen a couple that obviously came from library sales.  If I notice a smoky smell, I will note it, but so far they smell like cardboard.
