~ The Shadows Signed EP 1961 Line Up 'Shadows To The Fore' & Autographed Letter ~

The Shadows 'Shadows To The Fore' EP signed to front by the 1961 line up from the 'Shadowmania' events. The cover shows the original line up, and is signed by each member of the band. The EP plays of:

Side one:-

Apache (Lordan)& Man Of Mystery (theme music from the Edgar Wallace film series) (Carr)

Side two:-

The Stranger (Crompton-Jones) & F.B.I. (Gormley)

Also included is a sheet of "Fort Anne Hotel, Douglas The Isles Of Man" headed note paper, with signatures of Hank, Bruce, Brian & John Rostill.

Whilst the signatures on the letter are correct, I do not think all those on the EP are,

~ The Shadows ~

The Shadows are a British pop group with a total of 69 UK hit-charted singles: 35 as 'The Shadows' and 34 as 'Cliff Richard and the Shadows', from the 1950s to the 2000s. Cliff Richard in casual conversation with the British rock press frequently refers to the Shadows by their nickname, 'The Shads'. The Shadows were also successful in the British EP charts that were compiled by several different publications during the 1960s based on sales statistics from a limited number of retailers around the country. The Shadows and Cliff Richard & the Shadows each had four No.1 selling EPs.

With singer Cliff Richard, the Shadows dominated the British popular music scene in the late 1950s and early 1960s (i.e. the five-year "Before-Beatles" period: 1958–1962), before The Beatles' first full year in the charts in 1963.

~ Dimensions ~

The letter has a length of 10 inches (25.5cm) and a width of 8 inches (20.25cm).
The EP cover measures 7.3 inches by 7.3 inches (18.5cm), with the EP having a diameter of 7 inches (17.75cm)

~ Condition ~

Some wear to the corners but the EP covers is in good condition. The signatures remain clear and visible. The EP appears to have been played, we have not listened to it ourselves. The paper has some very light foxing and a fold in the middle but the signatures are still visible.
