Description
The short-lived Beatles Let It Be box set from 1970.
It was withdrawn after being sold for only a few months. These are getting harder and harder to find(!)
This version is in decent overall condition, but worn in places (it is nearly 50 years old!). Please note, while most parts are original, the inside tray (which holds the book) and the poster are replicas. These box sets were quite flimsy when first made so replacement parts are not uncommon.
I would describe the outer case as being in average condition. It does have a number of nicks and marks, front and back, and the edges are worn. The lining has also come away on the top left-hand side (about 6 inches) but could easily be repaired.
The outer tray, again, is in average condition with scuffs and marks along the flaps and a small 1-inch tear along the bottom. The edges are a bit creased (inevitable after years of opening).
The inner tray, which holds the book, is a new replica and in very good condition, same as the poster.
The 'Get Back' book is in good condition, with all the glossy pages still in place. It does have a bit of wear to the spine and a mark on the front but, compared to other examples I've seen listed, it's in good nick.
The LP is in good condition, with a -2U matrix on both sides. When I listened to it through (admittedly a while back) it played fine. Both sides still look shiny, although there is a hairline mark on side 2. The cover is good, but with a small split to the bottom right, where the glue has come away, but, again, that could easily be repaired.
