NEAR MINT (with Super Rare Picture Sleeve !!)
Listed by John Manship as one of the "Rarest Of The Rare" soul 45's and in superb NEAR MINT condition with it's original picture sleeve (I would grade the sleeve as VG by the way - see scan) here we have The Tyn Tymes storming 1969 recording of Howard Tate's earlier 1967 Verve release.
Recorded at the legendary Fame Recording Studio's in Muscle Shoals, Alabama and one of the few reworking's of a tune I actually prefer to an original, this 10 piece Alabama State college band just blow the socks off this superb Jerry Ragovoy composition.
Unfortunately poor sale's on it's release obviously did not help secure The Tyn Tymes any more studio time for a follow up release from the Music Box label and therefore the record disappeared without a trace until being discovered by the ever diligant rare soul vinyl hunters in later years.
With very few copies of this thumping slice of blue eyed soul being out there, this 45 was destined to be classed as one of the "Rarest Of The Rare", having all the right ingredients for the Rare and Northern Soul scene.
Rarity, danceability and condition make this 45 on offer a "must have" for all rare soul collector's and connissuier's out there.
