Description
Here is a rare HANDSIGNED copy of the THE WHO's seminal LP debut "MY GENERATION", as released in 1965 on the British "Brunswick" label, original mono pressing, catalogue number LAT 8616. First Deep Groove pressing. This rare copy has been autographed for the former owner named Jeff, who was disc jockey at the time and had an arrangement with Bill Graham for free passes and backstage privileges to all the Filmore Auditiorium shows. As he described, he got this at a Who 1967 Filmore show, just before they went on stage. The album was dedicated personally to Jeff by Pete Townshend. There is another large autograph by Keith Moon plus two rather hurried autographs by bassist John Entwistle and singer Roger Daltrey - as they were heading to stage.
This comes with a COA from ROGER EPPERSON "Signed Sealed Delivered". He was the one, who bought this beautiful and classic 1960s LP, that spots tracks like "My Generation", "The Kids Are Alright" and others on Ebay, and I subseqequently bought it from him. I also have the original Ebay ad from 2005 as I bid for this LP too, but Rodger won...
LP front sleeve is EXCELLENT, back has the autographs in just slightly aged black ink, back has some wear and some age "toning" but still in really beautiful shape. Record is a strong EXCELLENT and looks and sounds really great.
This was one of the most powerful LP debuts ever, and it was signed when THE WHO were on the peak of their creativity and breaking through on the American market.
