Description

The Rolling Stones - Hot Rocks 1964 - 1971

London Records 2PS 606/7

Has 'Shelly' in the run out on sides 1, 3 & 4 and 11 18 71 on sides 2 & 4.

The rarest USA LP by the Stones, this mispressing has alternate versions of Wild Horses and Brown Sugar not available on any other record. Brown Sugar sounds raw like a demo, with the drums and bass turned right up. Wild Horses is a bit slower with a more soulful vocal with more reverb.

CONDITION:

SLEEVE: VG has some ringwear on the front & a small split near the opening at the top of the gatefold, about 2 inches on the front half only

VINYL: VG+  has a few very light scratches, I noticed some clicks during the first verse of Wild Horses but otherwise sounds great. Has a name written in pen on 2 labels.

CONDITION GRADINGS:

"MINT: We only describe records as mint if they are still sealed.

NEAR MINT (NM): We only use this grade if record is not sealed but shows no signs of having been played.

EXCELLENT (Ex): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. "

Plus (+) or minus (-) afterwards indicates slightly above or below the above grades. We do not use Ex+ so any record graded Ex will be in truly excellent condition.
