This is an ORIGINAL 1971 EARLY PRESS U.S. LONDON RECORDS 2 LP SET titled 'Hot Rocks 1964-1971', containing twenty-one all time classic tracks dating from 1964 through 1971 from The Rolling Stones. It is London Records U.S. catalog number 2PS 606/7, gatefold cover.

THIS IS THE RARE AND SOUGHT AFTER EARLY PRESS VERSION OF 'HOT ROCKS' WITH ALTERNATE TAKES OF THE SONGS 'BROWN SUGAR' AND 'WILD HORSES' THAT WERE REPLACED ON LATER PRESSINGS. THE HAND ETCHED MATRIX MARKINGS IN THE RUNOUT AREA OF SIDE FOUR OF THIS SET ARE: XZAL 11018 SHELLEY 111871

Condition of both records is VG+ with some visible surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. I have play tested the record over the two alternate take tracks, and it plays very nicely with a little crackly light surface noise, no ticks or skips. Condition of gatefold cover is VG+ with a couple of slight wrinkles, some contact wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners. Cover has no water damage, tape, splits, tears, writing, or stickers. This rare and sought after early press set with alternate takes would be a choice RARE addition to any Rolling Stones or classic rock record collection!
