The Beatles 1962 UK 1st FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO pressing of 'Love Me Do / P.S. I Love You' 7" single. Released on the 5th October 1962, this comes complete with the rare original 'URGENT SPECIAL RUSH COPY TOP POP!' demo sleeve.
These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.
Released on the red Parlophone label both sides feature the ‘Recording First published 1962’ text. The a-side label features an embossed ‘ZT’ tax code. A very desirable version of this early single.
The Matrix numbers are:
Side 1. 7XCE 17144-1N 1 L ZT
Side 2. 7XCE-17145-1N 1 GG ZT
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD condition on the a-side and VERY GOOD+ condition on the b-side.
Both labels are in VERY GOOD / EXCELLENT condition. Sticker residue on the a-side.
The sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition. I will include an additional sleeve to protect the original.
