Extremely Rare Texas Garage Classic, Be Nice/Empty Heart by the Nomads from Fort Worth Texas. Unplayed, Virgin vinyl complete with Picture Sleeve, Picture Sleeve has some yellowing with age. Listed as #82 on the all time collectable Garage 45 classics. Be Nice written by Wes Harris of the Nomads , Empty Heart is a cover of the Rolling Stones song by Jagger/Richards. Recorded and released in the spring of 1966 at a studio in Grand Prairie. There were 2 boxes of 50 , the band sold the records at their gigs but broke up soon after the release. Wes kept what was left but threw away the unopened box of 50 (rats) he's kept what was left in his possesion, I am selling this for him. He also retains the Acetate and is considering auctioning it. Wes Harris has continued playing thruout his life and is currently playing in the band Kat Daddy, who plays often in the Dallas Fort worth area. Bill Ham , the lead guitarist on this record, played with many famous musicians and is still active in Fort Worth. He is considered by many to be one of the best guitarists in Texas. Bill played in a few other bands in Fort Worth after leaving the Nomads, He left FTW and went to California to play with the Yellow Payges. He then joined the band on the Sonny and Cher TV show. After the couples breakup he played in Cher's band and many others before returning to Fort Worth. The photos show Wes and Bill playing as the Rocks in 1968 at Trinity Park in Fort Worth, the other photo is a Rocks reunion concert in 2006 at the same location. Also included are original business cards from the Nomads signed by some of the members. Shipping charges will be determined after the auction , they will depend on what services the winner wants.
