ONLY PLAYED THE ONE TIME BY DECCA - TO CHECK THE AUDIO QUALITY - AND UNPLAYED SINCE - and the sound is sensational throughout - as you would expect from Decca who cut some of the finest sounding records of the period

MOTHERS/STAMPERS: 1/B and 1/B (one of the first copies ever pressed with 'B' being Decca's earliest stamper code, based on the letters - B.U.C.K.I.N.G.H.A.M.

AND COMES COMPLETE WITH AN INNER SLEEVE - DATED '1-76' WITH TIMING ANNOTATIONS FOR SIDE ONE

Abandoning the lovely soundscapes of Snow Goose, Camel delved into layered guitar and synthesizers similar to those of Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here on the impressive Moonmadness.
Part of the reason behind the shift in musical direction was the label's insistence that Camel venture into more commercial territory after the experimental Snow Goose, and it is true that the music on Moonmadness is more akin to traditional English progressive rock, even though it does occasionally dip into jazz-fusion territory with syncopated rhythms and shimmering keyboards.
Furthermore, the songs are little more concise and accessible than those of its predecessor.
That doesn't mean Camel has abandoned art. Moonmadness is indeed a concept album, based loosely on the personalities of each member -- "Chord Change" is Peter Bardens, "Air Born" is Andy Latimer, "Lunar Sea" is Andy Ward and "Another Night" is Doug Ferguson

LABELS: The labels are clean, bright and fresh with just one light spindle trace - once played (no doubt just to test the sound quality) - MINT(-)

VINYL Audio: Outstanding audio delivery in every respect - crystal clear, deep, rich and warm - sounds absolutely gorgeous. And on playback at a loud volume there are no audio issues of note - plays beautifully and cleanly throughout in keeping with its once played status - MINT(-)
