Szymon Goldberg & Radu Lupu MOZART Sonatas. This includes 4 LPs with the following sonatas:

K. 296, k. 301, K 302, K. 304, K. 305, K. 367, K. 378, K. 379, K. 380, K. 526 AND K. 547.

These test records are 4 of the complete set of 6, but the sonatas appear to come from a mixture of the 6 disks, and don’t correspond exactly to the sonatas on the first 4 LPs, but I could be wrong about that.

SO ALL FOUR DISKS ARE FROM THE FIRST MASTER LAQUER OR MATRIX, THE EARLIEST ONE.

THE MOTHER NUMBER ON ALL 4 LPS IS ALSO ONE, SO THIS IS FROM THE FIRST MOTHER, FIRST LAQUER/MATRIX IN ALL 4 CASES.

THE STAMPER NUMBERS ARE THE FOLLOWING:

CS 6973: SIDE 1 B=1/SIDE 2 U=2

CS6974: SIDE 1 C=3/SIDE 2 B=1

CS6975: SIDE 1 C=3/SIDE 2 B=1

CS6976: SIDE 1 C=3/SIDE 2 B=1

SO THESE ARE EXTREMELY EARLY STAMPERS FROM THE FIRST MATRIX AND THE FIRST MOTHER OF THIS PRESSING. THESE ARE MARKINGS FROM THE UK DECCA PRESSING PLANT.

Vinyl condition: The vinyl has been in sleeves with cellophane on the inner side. A number of the disks have cellophane marks on them and scuffs from handling. These are extremely light and in most cases do not sound. Details of each disk are below.

CS 6973: SIDE 1 band 2 has a 1 inch scratch and bands 3 and 4 have 3 short ¼ inch scratches. The vinyl is still very shiny. SIDE 2 has cellophane marks and a small nail mark in band 4.

CS6974: SIDE 1 band 1 has a number of light scuffs from handling. Band 4 also has a number of scuffs. SIDE 2 has a number of cellophane marks and scuffs that run from bands 2 to 4. Band 2 has a 1 inch scratch.

CS6975: SIDE 1 bands 2 and 3 have a number of scuff marks. There are cellophane marks also. Band 1 has a number of scuffs also. SIDE 2 has numerous very light scuff marks running from bands 1 to3.

CS6976: SIDE 1 bands 1 to 3 have a number of very light scuff marks. Band 3 has 2 short nail marks. SIDE 2 has a number of cellophane marks and scuffs that run from bands 2 to 4.
