Siloah - Same [also known as "Saeureadler" or "Acid Eagle"]  (Private pressing, Germany 1970)

Yes, original copy of one of the rarest items of the early german Psychedelic Underground! And it´s the very first private pressing made in 1970 (the few copies that were pressed sold out very quickly, so a 2nd pressing was done on the tiny label "German Blues & Underground" in 1971, but you are bidding here on the private first one which has yellow labels with "A" and "B" printed on).

Siloah was a bunch of Hippies from Munich and friends of Amon Düüll (unconfirmed rumours exist that members of them helped Siloah in recording this album..).

The music on this album has been described as an acoustic ethno-psychedelic head trip, long tracks of up to 18 minutes, acoustic guitars jamming with percussion, flute, shenai, Fuzz guitar, stoned people singing weird lyrics, song titles like "Yellow puppets hanging in the sky", "Krishna´s Golden Dope Shop". A real artefact of Underground culture!

Condition cover:   First impression is VG+ having some ringwear and crease marks, 1 small scuff at the right spine and a 4-5 cm split at bottom seam. A second look shows that there was a large tear in the middle of the front cover, but a former owner did a great job repairing/restoring this area (I have included a detail scan of this area below), and there is also a tear in the middle of the cover back but luckily in a mostly plain white area so that only a few centimeters of a black line are missing  

Condition labels:   NM

Condition record:   I´d grade it as VG(+) having some wear, hairlines, marks and a few light scratches. Side 1 plays mostly EX on my Linn turntable with slight background crackle in parts and a few light clicks, side 2 starts off having more background noise/crackle and occasional clicks and slight pops but gets a bit better after the first few minutes. Does not hang or skip, no heavy scratches that cause regular pops. This is not a copy for mint-collectors but also not really a bad one and still worth having it!
