Should I start with the bad news or worse?
Cover is VG to VG-
- corners are worn to the card board
- 1 inch seam split on top
back has agewear/discoloration
-small writing on back
This copy has many flaws
Side 1 looks GOOD which on my grading scale of
M/NM/EX/VG+/VG/G/POOR is not very GOOD
- covered with light non feelable scuffs
- plays remarkably well for how bad it looks
- surface noise is most pronounced for the first 2 minutes and in quieter sections
- This original copy was pressed LOUD and the music is still very enjoyable.When the band is full on the record plays very well with no skips
Side 2 looks POOR
- covered with many light and DEEP feelable scratches
- literally looks like the previous owner took a razor and chopped lines on Side 2 or maybe the raccoons got to it
- miraculously does not skip but plays with very audible surface noise most noticeable at the beginning of BLUE 7
Again,When the band is playing full on it sounds real good
You definitely don’t want to drop a diamond needle on this worn out copy.
I play tested this on my Technics 1200 SL 1200 SMK5 and was very surpised that the record still played OK considering how bad it looks.
When I played it on my crappy cheap stereo it sounded GREAT...
Really nice copies go for a ridiculous amount so here’s your chance to get an OK playing starter copy for cheap.
