THIS IS A RARE RE-ISSUE OF ONE OF THE RAREST AND MOST SOUGHTAFTER UK ORIG LP'S FROM ANY PERIOD.PURE AND TRUE UK ACID/FOLK.

SIMON FINN is an English singer-songwriter residing in Montreal, Canada.

His first effort Pass the Distance released in 1970 by Mushroom Records in a verry limited number of only 500, became a Psych-Folk classic but was deleted due to legal problems with the sleeve.  The Comany who sued Finn and his record company 35 years ago, managed the removal of all copies that were left in stores. Today there are about 100 copies of Pass the Distance circulating.

THE LP IS FREQUENTLY DESCRIBED AS"NIGHTMAREISH"MENACING" AND DOWN RIGHT "SINISTER".THINK OF "NICK DRAKE" "BILL FAY" BUT PILE ON THE ACID.BRILLIANT ELECTRIC/ACOUSTIC GUITAR,SOUNDEFFECTS,BONGOS,BASS,DRUMS,STRANGE LYRICS AND A OUTSTANDING VOCAL.RECORDED IN 1969 AT CHALK FARMS STUDIOS THIS WAS MUSHROOMS SECOND ONLY RELEASE THE ALBUM IS ONE THE TOP COLLECTABLE LP'S FROM THIS TIME.WITH ONLY 500 PRODUCED.WITH COPIES SELLING AROUND THE 700.00 POUND MARK NOW.

I use top quality packaging materials - so all my items arrive with you, the buyer, in top notch condition.

Please note: all records are removed from their sealed packaging UNLESS REQUESTED OTHERWISE. Once removed from their packaging, they are kept in a 250g polysleeve which ensures protection. The record(s) and its sleeves are then placed between 2 stiffeners & sent in a strong card envelope. This ensures that everything arrives exactly as you’d want it to.
