Sealed and mint original 1960s copy of the Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour LP on Capitol SMAS-2835. As far as I know there is no way to tell exactly which pressing this is without opening it, but I do know it is a 60s pressing, as it was bought at Long's Drugstore in the Bay Area by an employee who worked there from 1966 to 1969. She told me she bought all the Beatles records when they came out and never opened any because she never got around to getting a record player! So this is likely a first pressing, but it could be a second. It is 1969 or earlier for sure. She said she bought them all right when they came out, so I assume she got this when it was just released. But all the sellers who claim to have first pressing sealed are full of noise. There is no way to tell exactly, though you can clearly see an early one, like this, which in any case is quite definitely a very early pressing. Very thick cover with the early white border, and of course with the booklet inside. The shrinkwrap is torn along the seam at the spine, but has never been removed, obviously. The old Longs price sticker is still on it, priced at $4.98, and on sale for $3.48. The disc is of course mint, and the cover is pretty close to mint as well, just beautifully preserved as if it were new in the store. An incredible copy. Absolutely impossible to beat.
