From 1977, out of New Jersey, comes Ron And Shirley with their Xian psych album Rock And Scroll on C&C Records RRRS101277 private. Rare private press religious psych that ranges from soft cuts to full blown hard psych! Check out the songs Bad Love Is A Demon and Love Is Real. Also contains two inserts-one is a two sided lyric sheet and the other is a photocopied (by Ron) drawn advertisement for Ron and Shirley. Not only is this a great album, the story behind it is just as good! Ron was in a 60's Philadelphia psych group playing in a club. One night when they took a break from their set, he went into the men's room and took some LSD. A few moments later, he looked in the mirror and saw the Devil grinning back at him! He then adopted religion into his life and became a private minister! He wrote several books on religion and was going to use this LP in his traveling religious show to help spread the word of the Lord! After hearing this great album, I definitely would have loved to have seen that show, unfortunately it never came off! Top notch winner with paste on front and rear covers with the two inserts inside. Reminds me of Jefferson Airplane crossed with Marcus from Kentucky! This album was obtained directly from Ron back in the early 90's and is new and is UNPLAYED! These albums never came sealed.
