  • orig copy of west coast psych masterpiece. found sealed, opened to check disc. PERFECT, FLAT UNPLAYED COPY. cover in shrink with lightly misshapen area lwr right. back shows same in same area. cover photographed in light that ACCENTUATED this issue. in person, copy appears EXC until closely scrutinized. here's a fine review from archivist clark faville:

    Former Beat Of The Earth leader Phil Pearlman assembled this band in the early seventies and eventually recorded this magnificent rural rock album in 1975. The Relatively Clean Rivers album stands with the very best albums of the era, possessing a purely American sound and walking confidently past the shadow of its previous incarnation. Amazingly well produced for a private press, the recording and the cover are stunning, and musically and lyrically it is entirely profound - especially when the subject concerns religion: Could I believe if I had nothing to gain Would I walk away to paradise Or keep on playin' the game? Armin Steiner had a great line about the album: "...maintains a crystallised trans-ethnic flow which may help to re-define the knitted-brow term 'psychedelic' in the years to come... and as far as my map stretches, this is the real thing." Or it could be said: if all records by all bands were this fully realised, music would replace politics and religion as the focal study to the human experience.
