About This Record. This is an original USA copy of the rarely if EVER seen LP by Relatively Clean Rivers Yes Phil Pearlman and his genius friends. A.k.a. Beat of the Earth, this is their third effort, but nobody sees their first or second, and this is your chance to see and hear the third given my folly.
How did I obtain this? From the first owner, who said he found it in a park under a tree! He said he never played it (which is quite evident from the condition of the vinyl) but I have a few times. Yes, This is the original first pressing on Pacific IS PC 17601 in stereo from 1976. WITH the awesome INSERT! Yep, the Holy Grail! So why on Earth am I selling this, when I love Beat of the Earth (the two LPs that preceded this genius masterpiece)? Beat of the Earth was the prior band and those like this turn up at every garage sale and estate sale from the utterly mad and devious people that bought this LP if they could. And now I am sure that is my fate.

I just spent $750+ on a Velvet Underground single and now somehow I have to figure out how to pay for it . . . Help! I will be selling other vinyl ending on the same day that I will be listing over the next few days. Keep your eyes out!

Vinyl Condition. Looks Strong EX+ to NM-; plays STRONG EX to EX+. Light background noise evident between some songs for no apparent reason (as on all original pressings) and a few pops here and there for no observable reason. Light paper marks and an extremely light stylus mark or two. NO PROBLEMS! Top Copy! I grade conservatively, especially for such rare never to-be-seen again items. Most of the Beat of the Earth LPs are VG sounding from the Get-Go and this is better for those of you who know or will soon. Phil used his money wisely and I just wish he would give us that other fourth LP that we all know is lurking there . . . PLEASE PLEASE (not me) but US Phil . . . we love you
Insert. Near Mint better photo (one-sided) RARE Yikes!
Cover Condition. The original gatefold cover is in Super STRONG VG to VG+ cover with noticeable shelf wear and corner rounding. Light ring wear. Shelf wear: 1 1/2 inch seam split in middle of bottom seam; one inch seam split on top right seams; light cover wear. Still, not an objectionable cover. NO major flaws.
Innsersleeve. This comes cleaned on my VPI innersleeve in a new rice paper or similar sleeve. But yes, it has the original plain paper sleeve with its cool browning aging marks.
Labels. Near Mint/better. see photos!
About Me. I have been a Record Collector for over 35 years. I bought this many years ago during my travels and have kept it well-preserved. If this were not New and SEALED it would cleaned on my VPI record cleaning machine.
