"ON A NOTE OF TRIUMPH" RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISCS.  ONE COMPLETE 60 MINUTE RADIO PROGRAM ON THESE TWO 16 INCH, BLACK LAQUER, 33 1/3 RPM DISCS. 

"On A Note Of Triumph" radio program written, directed and produced by NORMAN CORWIN to celebrate the Allied victory in Europe in World War Two.  Narrated by Martin Gabel, music by Bernard Hermann

"On A Note Of Triumph" was originally broadcast on May 8, 1945, however these discs do not contain the broadcast from this date.  As stated in the introduction: "by popular request, The Columbia Broadcasting System presents a repeat performance of 'On A Note Of Triumph', a special broadcast written, directed and produced by Norman Corwin for the day of victory".

The phrase "repeat performance" suggests that this is a second performance from the original broadcast on May 8, 1945, not simply a rebroadcast of the original program

The excellent sound is consistent throughout the disc, and this does not sound like a new introduction and then the original broadcast being played by transcription.  There are no labels on the discs

DISCS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH EXCELLENT OR BETTER SOUND, ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SOUND ON THESE DISCS

PLEASE NOTE THAT MOST STANDARD TURNTABLES WILL NOT PLAY 16 INCH DISCS DUE TO THEIR SIZE.
