“The Roy Rogers Show” Radio Show Transcription Disc produced by The Armed Forces Radio Service

One Complete 25 Minute Radio Program On This 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm Disc

This disc was issued to radio stations for broadcast only and Not Available To The General Public, Very Rare!

This is a very interesting disc that is stamped on the label "Osaka AFRS".  This disc was most likely issued to the Osaka Armed Forces Radio Service Station in Japan for  broadcast to U. S. troops serving in occupied Japan after World War Two.  This is the first disc that I have seen which is stamped "Osaka AFRS"

"The Roy Rogers Show" radio program #17 from September 18, 1949 titled "The Mystery Of The Changing Cattle Brands".  An excellent episode

Program stars Roy Rogers & Dale Evans with Gabby Hayes

Roy Rogers & Dale Evans sing "May The Good Lord Take A Likin' To You" with music by Foy Willing & The Riders of The Purple Sage

I could not find any reference to any existing examples of this radio program in any online radio log or database


Disc is in Excellent- condition with Excellent+ Sound, beautiful sound on this rare disc!

This disc came from a collection that has sat untouched for decades

Due to their size, 16 inch discs may not play on standard turntables.   For $10 I can make a CD of the disc for the buyer only
