RARE VG+ AFRTS LINDA PERHACS - PARALLELOGRAMS/BILLY PRESTON - ENCOURAGING WORDS R 29-1 (P-12389/P-12390)
What a rare treat! Here is a collector's dream of Linda Perhacs's psychedelic folk/rock and acoustic sounds from her 1970 release titled, Parallelograms on the American Forces Radio And Television Services label. Songs include, "Chimacum Rain" and "Morning Colors." (See label pictures for complete list of song titles.)
Side 2 is Billy Preston's Funk/Soul sound with his 1970 release of Encouraging Words, also a valuable collector's item. Many will recognize the Beatles' George Harrison influence who co-produced the album and co wrote one of the songs on this vinyl of 'My Sweet Lord." Oher songs include, "I Don't Want You To Pretend" and song from titled album, "Encouraging Words." (See label pictures for complete list of song titles.)
VINYL: VG+. Still has a nice gloss. Shows normal wear of scuff and scratch marks.
AUDIO TEST: There is some mild static and small pops in background in beginning of tracks on Perhacs' side but gradually fades. On a "1-10" scale of sound distortions affecting sound quality, I would grade this between a low "2" to a critical grader of "3". I can safely say one won't be disappointed when it is played! Preston's side of background static is very mild and would give a "1-2" grade of sound distortions..
SLEEVE: Original sleeve is missing. In government 1/2 hard sleeve. Please note the number on sleeve will NOT match label number. Unfortunately, this is how they were shipped to me.) Will include a free poly sleeve for added protection. (See above piicture.)
