Description

Ruth Etting, A Needle in a Haystack b/w Stay As Sweet As You Are on Columbia 2979, blue wax.   Good gloss, VG condition.  Scratches are light, plays superbly.  Laminate has a couple stress lines in the dead wax at the start of the record.

Note that, in addition to the three blue Ruth Etting 78s and the signed picture I am currently listing, I have more than 40 black-wax Ruth Etting 78s on Columbia, Brunswick, Perfect, and Decca.  Nearly all of these are in very nice shape, mostly VG+, some M-.  Contact me if you are looking for other records by her.

GRADING
M-  A flawless or nearly flawless record that appears to have seen little or no play.
VG+  Full gloss, a few light marks.  A very, very attractive record that has seen limited play and has been well cared for.
VG   More marks and scratches, but still a nice record.  Scratches may be fairly numerous, but will be light.
VG-  Lots of marks and scratches but no gouges or major problems.  Not a beautiful record, but still serviceable, not junk.
G+ and G  Heavy wear and marks, plays through okay.
