Description
We have been left a box of records by my uncle, who was involved in the music business in the 60s and 70s. He left the business in the early 70s and wasn't a fan of much music after that time, so I would assume these records date from then. Some of the records do have years printed on and these indicate they are mainly from the late 60s and early 70s. He sold most of his records in the 90s, but kept a box full of ones he felt were special. While I love 60s music, I don't own a record player anymore to play them on so I have decided to sell them. As I can't play these, I can't tell you about the music on them or how well they play, so these are being 'sold as seen' at the buyers own risk!!!! I will do my best to describe how they look to give you some idea of the how they might play and I have taken a scan of each label and a photo of each surface. But I am not an expert!!! Some of these records are called 'acetates' and are heavier than normal records. I have been told these can be quite rare and valuable. I will be listing those first and then move on to the others. I have tried to find out as much as I can about the records being sold, but if anyone can add any further information about them, then I would love to hear from you and I will include these on the questions and answers section at the bottom. Planetary Now - "I Can Remember" Emidisc Acetate Another one by this lot - Planetary Now? Planetary Nom? It also has 'Reg 3424' written on and 45rpm typed on it. The playing surface is quite nice with just some light looking marks. The other side is completely blank with no grooves but has some white powdery blotches. All items will be posted Royal Mail First Class Recorded in brand new stiffened cardboard mailers once payment is received. I will be gradually adding more over the next few weeks so keep an eye out.
