DEL JONES' POSITIVE VIBES: "COURT IS CLOSED" LP - On HIKEKA Records HR-3331. Amazing funk-psych private pressing LP out of Philadelphia - NOT a reissue. First recording mix without the added overdubbed horns. This is the guaranteed original pressing in thick cardboard cover! Only 500 copies of this original pressing were made in 1973. The cardboard cover is in VG++ shape and displays nicely. There is a light crease at top left corner that does not detract from the overall visual impact of the front cover. No seam splits, no writing, no cut-out marks, and the front & back cover graphics are particularly striking. The vinyl is in VG condition, beautiful high gloss, light surface marks and some lightly feelable thin scratches that do not seriously affect play. This is a very solid play copy that does have some occasional background ticks and light surface noise but is still quite enjoyable to listen to. Great dynamic recording. The songs are: Court Is Closed; Inside Black America; Times Are Hard, Friends Are Few; Prelude Ta Hell; Needle N' Spoon; Cold Turkey.
