Record Condition: VG, fingernail scratch that goes across half of side one but is not feelable, 1.5 inch scratch at end of Cold Turkey that is lightly feelable but does not seriously affect play, a couple other light marks, mildew stain spots that can't be cleaned off but luckily don't seem to really affect play. Please listen to the soundclips, this is a very solid play copy that does have some occasional background ticks and light surface noise but is still quite enjoyable to listen to. Great, dynamic recording.
Cover Condition: VG-, mildew staining most pronounced on the back cover, front cover doesn't look nearly as bad although still obviously has h2o damage on upper left and lower right portions of the cover. Also a short seam split on top seam.

Note: Legendary psych-funk grail highly rated in the Acid Archives. NOT the Loopden reissue. Only 500 copies of this original pressing were made, in 1973. A different mix, with horns overdubbed, was pressed in an edition of 1000 copies about a year later, which the group hoped would generate some major label interest (it evidently didn't). A few original copies of that second issue, with the African map on the cover, have surfaced over the years but looking back at popsike and other auction reference sites it looks like this is the first copy of this original version to be up for sale in recent years. (Thanks to Loopden/Rockadelic label owner Rich Haupt for the information on the pressing numbers). Check my other auctions this week for a large selection of LPs and twelve inches. Grading: I grade conservatively on a scale of NM, VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G.
