Description
OK peeps, here is a copy of Spiral Circus. What can I say, it's in mint condition, and has been stored well. This was the first gig Porcupine Tree ever did, it was at the local venue Nags Head in High Wycombe, where many many famous bands have played before though my history is rough. Lets say it's one of those gigs that everyone plays when they start out and has been around since the sixties.
This recording originally was given out on cassette along with the sign up of the Transmission news letter and subsequently some years later was turned into a run of 500 limited vinyl, of which I personally put the sleeves on every single one, to my frustration (putting 500 records in their sleeves is a boring and time consuming job) and to the annoyance of the local pizza man who took three and a half hours to deliver a cold pizza from one mile away.
The upshot of this is that I hand picked a couple of the very best ones. You will notice if you have a copy of this that there is a tiny thumb shaped crease to the right of the picture on the front cover where at the printing firm, they had either re-sleeved them or inspected them. This crease is on every single one, except a couple. I bought a few of these to keep, to distribute to friends, that sort of thing and I am selling one here. I would like to point out at this point that I am not a record dealer, I was the bands backline tech from this gig until shortly after the gigs that make up Coma Divine and I worked at the Freak Emporium while I was not touring. I just took this opportunity at the time, and until now don't know why.
THIS ITEM HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED BY ANY STYLUS AND THE COVER HAS NEVER BEEN EXPOSED TO SUNLIGHT, It is not possible for there a more pristine copy of this record to be about. The guy that puts the record in the sleeve gets the pick of the crop don't they. This is also the case with the original IEM album which was released at the same time, and I am also selling one of those too; see my other listings. Well give me time to write it up anyway.
