Description
Pink Floyd - Very Rare UK 1975 Harvest 1st Pressing 'Wish You Were Here' !!! With 1st press A//1 Side 1 Matrix Endings, Original Garrod & Lofthouse Jacket and Die-Cut Inner Sleeve (with Brown Carded Inner)!!! Complete With Original Correct Wavy-Edged Postcard!!! A Massive Rarity and Impossible To Find In This Condition!!!
You are bidding on the best conditioned UK 1st pressing of Wish You Were Here I have ever seen. It is the impossibly rare UK 1st press with the Side 1 A//1 Matrix endings!!! What's more it is fully complete with its original 1st issue Garrod & Lofthouse un-laminated sleeve, G & L die-cut hard-carded inner sleeve AND mega rare wavy-edges 1st press postcard!!! It is VERY hard to find presentable 1st press copies of this particular record because the UK Die-Cut 1st Press hard-carded inner sleeve were usually not kind to the disc, causing many surface marks as the disc was removed and replaced, on later pressings of the album the record company realised this and moved away from heavily carded die-cut inner sleeves to much less harsh white non-die cut paper inners. It is therefore very hard to find a true UK 1st press with a genuine Ex+ vinyl disc!!! This one has survived the test of time so well because the disc was carefully re-housed in a replacement poly-lined Inner sleeve, which has been much kinder to the playing surfaces. The original heavy card 1st issue inner has been carefully tucked away inside the sleeve for storage a long time ago. This is how the record will come shipped to you. It comes from my own Mint Pink Floyd keepers collection which I will be selling off over the coming months. All records from this collection have been owned form new by me, placed into heavy-duty protective polythene sleeves from purchase and played only once to record. You will probably never see another copy of this UK LP approaching this condition again!!! Please so not miss it as it is my own best copy in absolutely fantastic condition, it has barely ever seen the light of day and I do not have anymore like this, so when this has gone it's gone...

The Classic Pink Floyd-designed Harvest centre labels are in STUNNING NR MINT condition with NO Tears, NO Peeling, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!! There is just one tiny wispy spindle line on each side and that's it!!! The gramophone rims containing the all important matrix's are MINT!!! Most of these rare UK 1st pressings were played to death in the mid 1970's and only turn up today full of scratches with a dull sheen and totally worn out. Their general condition was not helped greatly by the original hard-carded die-cut inner which were very abrasive to the discs, usually resulting in many surface scratches and hairlines etc. As mentioned above, this record is in such amazing condition because it was removed from its original inner a long time ago and replaced with a soft poly-lined inner sleeve. The original inner was then safely tucked away inside the sleeve for added protection. This is how this amazing record will come shipped to you. The actual playing surfaces are in beautifully preserved condition with a deep glass-like sheen!!! Like I said earlier, this was my own keepers copy. The thick & chunky super heavy 1st press vinyl is also in superb condition!!! It has NO Scratches, NO scuffing and NO Groove-wear. The record still retains ALL its original gloss and shine and has NO dulling and NO nasty greying of the grooves!!! If I am overly critical there are just one or two paper lines, and perhaps the lightest possible wispy hairline but this absolutely doesn't interfere with the playing of this record. It plays stunningly!!! It has no nasty loud pops or crackle (very rare for this record) and has absolutely NO skips or jumps etc!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!! This record must PROPERLY grade Ex+ if not better!!! I refuse to over-grade any of my records!!! The classic original Garrod & Lofthouse un-laminated sleeve is ALSO in tremendous condition. Due to their mainly white coloration and non lamination, these sleeves suffered severe wear and always turn up worn out and really nasty looking with bashed corners and severe discolouration and yellowing etc. This one however is has stood the test of time very well indeed. There are NO Tears, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind. The opening edge is razor sharp with no feathering and the corners are superb. Importantly it has retained 100% of its just pressed box shape (I have tried to show this on the images). Although not mint (there are 2 light patches of discoloration in the bottom left corner) this is still one of the best examples you will come across of a true Garrod & Lofthouse 1st issue un-laminated sleeve (its very different from those later common fake laminated 1980's repressings) and must easily grade as Ex!!! It's as simple as that!!! Further, this amazing record comes complete with its original Garrod & Lofthouse 1st issue die-cut inner sleeve (as described above) AND the MEGA RARE 1st issue postcard which can be distinguished from all later postcards due to its wavy edges!!! Both are in stunning Ex++ condition!!! Although a lot of copies of Wish You Were Here were pressed all over the world, it is almost impossible to find the true 1975 UK 1st pressing complete with all original components and in this kind of visual and aural condition - This is not a more common 2nd pressing , nor is it one of the shiny jacketed 1980's re-pressings - it is the real deal, the 1975 UK 1st press!!! Don't miss this one!!!

Postage ... Hazey Jane has absolutely NO hidden surcharges; the price you win is the price you pay, just add the relevant postage, it's as simple as that! We always combine postage so if you win more than 1 auction you save money on postage costs! We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.
A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. If you don't add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will not get a refund. Can we be any clearer? I think not.

Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards. If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...
Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.
We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thanks for reading.
