Stunning Original UK Very Early ***Near Mint*** 1975 A//4 'Wish You Were Here'' by Pink Floyd!!! One Of The Very Best Fully Complete UK Pressings Of This Seminal Album You Are Ever Likely Too See. Complete With 1st Issue Inner Sleeve with Die Cut Rounded Edges, 1st Issue Postcard With Serrated Edges & 1st Issue Garrod & Lofthouse Non-Laminated Sleeve Complete with Mega Rare Original UK 1st Press Black Polythene Cover with Intact Circular Sticker!!! Impossible To Find as a Fully Complete UK Pressing in this Kind of Condition!!! Don't Miss!!!
Here is another gem from my own mostly Nr Mint personal collection (which I am selling off gradually to lessen the pain...) I have been collecting very rare vinyl for a long time now. As a collector, I have been very critical about the condition of the records I have chosen to buy over the years, and only selected the most pristine 1st pressings from all over the UK. My collection is therefore filled with not only the rarest UK 1st pressings, but also records of the highest grade quality condition, some of the best you will probably ever come across. Sadly, all will be finding new homes in the near future. As I said, I am very strict with my grading, so when I describe a record as Nr Mint - you can rest assured that it will be a true Nr Mint record (I never grade any records as Mint because Mint does not exist in the world of vintage vinyl - in my opinion, as soon as the record has been taken home from the store it is no longer Mint!!) I hope you enjoy my listings.
You are about to bid on a very, very special record. It is a record that in my opinion is harder to find than even the solid blue prism label Dark Side of The Moon UK 1st press. It is a stunning early example of the UK pressing of Wish You Were Here. It is is superb condition throughout, however, what makes this one so special is that is is complete with the earliest 1st issue serrated postcard, rounded corner inner sleeve, AND its mega rare original black cellophane wrapping complete with large original circular sticker!!! This is my second copy of this record I have put up for auction recently, those who regularly watch my auctions will see I sold the first of this pair a few weeks ago. It has now been posted on Popsike, please check here (http://www.popsike.com/php/detaildatar.php?itemnr=270102347725). As I said, these were a pair, and this is the companion piece to that record, although it was one of the slightly later second wave of 1975 U.K 1st pressings with the A//4 Side A matrix, it is still a very early pressing indeed and a truly amazing record worthy of only the most serious Pink Floyd collection.

As I did in my last WYWH auction above, I'll begin with a brief description of why this record is so rare. Firstly let's begin with the inner sleeve. This record comes complete with the correct 1st issue Garrod & Lofthouse heavy carded & rounded edge die-cut picture inner sleeve. This is a very important feature to note as it was the only inner sleeve that came with the 1st pressing. Inner sleeves with clipped/square edges and/or made from thin paper are from later and non-UK pressings!!! This particular 1st Issue inner is is great condition with bright vivid colouration and NONE of the grubbiness that is so common with this sleeve. Secondly and equally important is the postcard the came with the 1st issue. This has the serrated edge to it and the correct centre text reading; 'Album sleeve insert for Pink Floyd. Wish You Were Here. Harvest. EMI Records Ltd. SHVL 814'. All other non- serrated postcards omitting this text are either from later UK repressings or are non UK! Next up we have the black poly-covering over the jacket complete with its original circular sticker which is intact. These poly-covers were only used to seal the earliest UK pressings upon release in 1975. Virtually all were ripped off without thought upon purchase as buyers were eager to get to the amazing sleeve artwork inside. It is very, very rare to find one remaining with its shrink-wrap still intact and in place tight over the jacket like this one! The opening edge has just one vertical edge cut to remove the record. Needless to say, the 1st press Garrod & Lofthouse unlaminated sleeve underneath will be in mint condition (again very rare, as these sleeves are prone to severe grubbiness and discolouration). As this is such a pristine copy I can't let it go without a quick mention of the amazing artwork on this album; having a copy so clean brings a whole new dimension to the awesome imagery contained on the black wrapper, sleeve, inner and labels. It is a testament to the band but also a great shame that Wish You Were Here contains images that are now so well embedded in popular culture that their meaning is often overlooked. And it's especially amazing to think that the band originally wanted this mind-blowing artwork to be shrouded in an anonymous, all-black plastic wrapper. Of course, this idea was rejected by EMI, who were appalled at the suggestion that they deliberately hide their product, so an additional image featuring the band name over top of two robotic hands in front of the four elements was included as the sticker on top (which, as mentioned above, is completely intact on this copy). Removing this outer wrapper then revealed the proper artwork with its now-famous cover: the flaming businessman, shaking hands with his counterpart (as in the robot image). Three other photographs on the back and inner sleeve represented the remaining elements: a faceless salesman selling Pink Floyd products in the desert (earth); a naked female figure in a grove, barely visible behind a windswept red veil (air); and a splash-less diver half submerged in Mono Lake (water). All four photos in this design appeared to have each element 'breaking' (or burning) into the surrounding white margins.
This record is worthy of only the most serious Mint 1st press Pink Floyd collection. Make no mistake, A//4 is a very. very early pressing for this record, it is one of the first. iI can commonly be seen running the A//15 and above! It is a very serious record indeed and the bidding will probably be high so bid early to avoid disappointment. Do not underestimate the rarity of this record in fully complete wrapped condition. If you have never heard the early U.K. pressings of Wish You were Here, you are truly missing something very special, If you are a collector/investor, the price of this record will just rise and rise. An absolutely essential Pink Floyd UK 1st pressing. A very rare opportunity, don't miss this one!!!

This vinyl is in beautiful condition!!! The Classic centre labels are in pristine Near Mint condition with NO Tears, NO Peeling, NO Grubbyness, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!! There are NO spindle lines on Side 1!!! And just the very faintest trace of one on Side 2. Finding these labels with this kind of lack of spindle lines is impossible!!! Please see the close-up images I have provided below. I can safely tell you that this record has only ever seen a turntable once or twice (at most) before, and side 2 has probably never been played save to play grade. Play grading was done very lightly on a high grade Mitchell turntable so, to all intents and purposes, it doesn't really count as an additional play. The gramophone rims containing the all-important 1st press Matrix are also obviously Mint!!!
The disc itself must visually grade Near Mint condition!! It is absolutely pristine! It has a beautiful 'factory pressed' sheen with NO scratches, NO Blemishes, NO Dullness/Groovewear, NO Warping, NO hairlines; not even any paper-lines!!! NOTHING It is simply stunning - it's as simple as that - it is perfect! Like virtually all early UK examples of this record, there is a limited amount of static audible during the quieter passages. I have heard none that play through without a sound. This is almost as good as it gets for this album, with low level static only audible during the quieter passages of the album and on the run-ins. A stunning looking vinyl!!!
As mentioned above, the inner sleeve, outer jacket and postcard are all Near Mint. Not a blemish in sight. We all know how grubby the predominantly white artwork becomes on this album, so to find one that is a brightly white as this is impossible, you will not be disappointed with this sleeve!
Please check our Other Auctions as we have some more incredibly rare 1st pressings and rarities currently listed and ending soon!!! This is an absolutely essential record for any high grade 1st press Pink Floyd/Progressive collection.

Postage ... Hazey Jane has absolutely NO hidden surcharges; the price you win is the price you pay, just add the relevant postage, it's as simple as that! We always combine postage so if you win more than 1 auction you save money on postage costs! We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.
A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. If you don't add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will not get a refund. Can we be any clearer? I think not.

Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards. If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...
Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.
We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thanks for reading.
