Background Information
All my records come from a massive extensive collection of 12" and 7" vinyl, mostly collected between 1975 -1979 when I owned a record shop.
Also includes an extensive collection of vintage bootleg vinyl including Rolling Stones, Doors, Pink Floyd, and David Bowie, as well as a big collection of jazz and blues.
Most of my collection is un-played or very little play (often only one side played once for assessment).
Stored vertically, in PVC sleeves, in a cool dark storage.
Kit used for playing was a Garrard 401, SME Series III arm, Shure V15 cartridge, and anti-static brush arm.

Condition
My vinyl collection is graded impartially to UK RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE CONDITION GUIDE. I also use a Plus + / Minus – grading for records between grades.
Contact me if you need specific questions answered (run-off groove text, etc) or need more detailed photos.

Mint: "The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition."

Excellent: "The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear or creasing".
This will be a highly collectable copy, perhaps with faint hairline surface / sleeve withdrawal paper marks only, clean labels, and no warping. Often only being slightly off Mint due to ageing of the sleeve. Most collectors will be delighted with this standard. The majority of my collection is Excellent+.

Very Good: "The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable."
This will be a respectable playing copy of the record commensurate with its age, with no jumps or sticks although there may be some light surface noise. Any audio defects will not spoil the overall enjoyment of the record. The sleeve may have a few very minor edge tears / edge wear and possibly some ring-wear showing. The opening edge may be a little worn. Certainly a copy worth owning.

Good: "The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and or mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc."
I would normally only offer very rare titles in this condition. Feel free to request further info on these.

We Love Vinyl !
There has always been that x-factor with vinyl records. It’s hard to pinpoint the reason why, but vinyl records are just cool. CD is already a near-dead format, and MP3 uses a lot of compression that reduces the quality of the sound. The frequencies are all there with vinyl records giving more depth and personality to the music. Lovers of vinyl records often say that the medium has warmth to it that digital music lacks. For audiophiles, there’s no doubt that vinyl records are the cheapest and easiest way to access high quality audio.
