For auction is an exceptional copy of the incredibly rare and desirable 1st U.K. issue of Nick Drake’s debut album Five Leaves Left with label and Tristram Fry credit misprint.


Nick Drake sold very few copies of his albums in his lifetime, making first issue copies of his debut album incredibly rare and a copy with a misprint even rarer.


A2/B2 matrix numbers.


Original first issue Ernest J Day gatefold sleeve is truly great. These sleeves are unlaminated, and so many copies have major fading and ring wear issues. Not so with this copy. The colour is vibrant, with no fading. Minor wear can be found along the edges and spine but nothing exceptional. Tear on the back cover is barely noticeable (pictured). Very Good, graded conservatively.


Original inner bag, dated 69, is in good condition. These first issues did not come with the blue Island inner sleeve only the later reissues came with the blue inner.


Record is in in Very Good+ condition, graded conservatively.


The labels are in excellent condition - no writing, tears, or other marks.


This is a chance to own a piece of music history - an important and great record. The condition should please anyone from a new collector to the most discerning vinyl lover.
