OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS I WILL BE LISTING LPS AND TEN INCHES FROM A FINE AND IMMACULATE COLLECTION OF ORIGINAL POST BOP 1950s - EARLY 1960s JAZZ - ESQUIRE, TEMPO, VOGUE ETC.
FIRST UP THIS VERY RARE PAIR OF LIVE JAZZ LPs, ORIGINALLY RECORDED AT THE ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL, 28.02.1954.
TITLES: NATIONAL JAZZ FEDERATION MODERN JAZZ CONCERT VOLUME 1 AND VOLUME 2
VOLUME 1 FEATURES Derek Smith Trio with Don Rendell and Ronnie Ross, The Tony Kinsey Trio with Tommy Whittle.
VOLUME 2 FEATURES The Victor Feldman Trio, The Jazz Today Unit.
Both LPs are in very similar condition. The very thin paper sleeves are in excellent condition for their age - and have original period cotton taping around the edges. See photos. Without this reinforcement back in the 1950s these paper sleeves will have split for sure because the vinyl is heavy.
Vinyl on both deep groove LPs is near mint. Playback is superb. Condition is amazing. Both these historic and early modern British LP are near impossible to find, even harder in this condition. See all photos for sleeves and vinyl condition and all track listing info.
