& THIS IS WHAT THIS IS~ A  NEU PROG/SYNTH LP BY THEIR "NEU" BAND....

Neu! fast became one of the three most influential Krautbands and this album is now very hard to get as there are very many takers for this original inventive early masterclass!!

Fresh after leaving Kraftwerk in the autmn of 1971 for what they perceived to be a lack of vision, guitarist Michael Rother and drummer Klaus Dinger formed their own unit and changed the Face Of German Rock forever -- Eventually influencing their former bandmate, Florian Schneider of Kraftwerk. The 1974 Album Autobahn was a genteel reconsideration of the music played here.

This pressing of their first album dates from initial release in 1972. Two different covers were designed and both were issued, this one with the double shadow effect being the rarer one and the one to get.

Housed in a front and back laminated album cover, this has the dedication to the back by Dave Brock from Hawkwind.

ELUSIVE PROGMONSTER!!!! VINYL IN A GREAT  EX CONDITION!!!

!!!!AN IMPOSSIBLE FIND!!! A few hundred of the LP on this earliest label were ever sold as an original!!! This is SOOOOOOOOOOO very rare!!!!!

****ELUSIVE PROGMONSTER!!!****PERPLEXING SONGCRAFT!!!***AN INSPIRATION TO MANY SUBSEQUENT TOPACTS!!!***

In all my years this is only the fourth time I have come across this PROGMONSTER. Two light hairlines do not have any impact on the tremendous audio. Sensational sound quality, I have played this through in its entirety and it was a great joy!!! NO skips or jumps. NO clicks or crackle, this is really a stunning heavy glossy jet black vinyl .The audio is impeccable. Inspected under an intense lightsource and angled.

Vinyl:  EX+.  A sensational find!!! I have played this in FULL twice over> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! These early presses are built like a Rolls Royce with mighty high groove walls ensuring the best possible audio. I first played for a general listen and a second time for a more detailed observation. Only a couple of wispy hairlines on side B can be seen under a strong lightsource. The stereo separation is fantastic. Hardly ever any static noise. Fantastic songcraft!  I am very glad to be able to report that this is a fine slab of vinyl without any problems at all and as such worthy of inclusion of any great prog collection. Of course NO jumps/clicks/skips etc.

Sleeve: EX+++. A stunning sleeve that is fully laminated. NO creasing, NO writing, this must be the very best preserved sleeve of this album ever. Only light laminate lift (see pic) near the spine. It would already have had this at the point of sale. The edges are nice and deadstraight. The spine is 100%.  A lovely sleeve which has kept in beautiful shape after all of 40 years.  This is as good as it gets!!!!
