NEIL ARDLEY, IAN CARR & DON RENDELL  -  Greek Variations & Other Aegean Exercises - LP (Columbia SCX 6414)

You are bidding on a lovely original copy of Neil Ardley's rare 1970 LP for Columbia, featuring pre-eminently Ian Carr and Don Rendell, but also many others of the cream of British jazz-rock - Jack Bruce, Frank Ricotti, Mike Gibbs, Barbara Thompson, Jeff Clyne, Chris Spedding, John Marshall and others. This is a review copy, I think, and has been little played, as vinyl and labels are hardly marked. That said, play-checking did reveal a little light crackle (unobtrusive), but also a couple of patches of more intrusive background noise (as always, during a quieter passage) lasting a couple of minutes or so. Otherwise, no unpleasantness - loud clicks, jumps etc, except for some heavy distortion in the run-off to Side 2 (well after the playing has finished). The cover is in fine shape, and is a very very strong VG. There's just light general storage wear, and, where the laminate doesn't cover all the flipback, some grubbiness. Otherwise, unmarked, and very nice and clean and crisp. Finally, it's a factory sample (label sticker says so), and comes with the original Columbia inner.
